A letter from WBSS Past President, Michael Hsu:
Dear Sailing Parents, Sailors, Friends and Family,
I hope all of you enjoyed the wonderful spring weather this weekend! The ice will be gone soon (if it isn’t already) and hopefully the lake level will increase also!
I just wanted to share with you that we have received many gifts and are close to our goal of raising enough for the Pavilion, furnishings and equipment, as well as, some new boats and dock sections. Thank you to all who have given!
Last month we started a new tradition called “Bowling for Boats”. The final tally has not been received yet, but everyone agrees it was a great success. Thank you to all the bowlers, sponsors and Jack Madill for taking the initiative to organize it. We hope to see even more participation next year!
Now, we would like to make a final push to reach our total goal. If you haven’t sent in your 2013 pledge, please do it soon. It you haven’t yet made a 2013 pledge, please consider doing it now.
As I mentioned previously, we are now able to accept gifts of stock in addition to cash, checks and credit card donations. If a stock donation makes sense for you, please send me an email and I will send you the instructions. Your accountant will tell you if this option makes sense for you.
We are looking for high participation from our sailing community, so please send in or go online and process your donation today.
The mailing address for donations is:
P.O. Box 10865
White Bear Lake, Minnesota 55110
You may also donate online at our website www.whitebearsailingschool.com
Please don’t hesitate to email or call me directly about any questions you might have.
From all of us at the Sailing School, Happy Spring! We are excited to see you at our new home this summer!

PS – I also wanted to share with you a recent picture of the front and side (Lakeside view) of the new Pavilion taken by Chris Brown, one of our Board members.
